ALL ABOUT TAPES
ATLAS TAPES S.A.
Who We Are
Atlas Tapes S.A. is a vertically integrated manufacturer of self-adhesive tapes, headquartered in Greece and recognised as a leader in the Greek market, ranking among the top European producers in the industry.
Founded in Athens in 1953 by Christopher Lantzis and his son Takis, Atlas Tapes has evolved from a family-run business into an international manufacturing company. Today, we export over 90% of our production and serve customers in more than 70 countries worldwide, supporting demanding packaging and industrial applications with reliability and consistency.
What We Do
At Atlas Tapes, packaging tapes are at the core of our business. We design and manufacture a comprehensive range of solutions developed to ensure secure sealing, efficiency, and performance across different packaging conditions and distribution channels.
Our packaging portfolio is based on the main industry-standard backing materials, including BOPP, PVC, PET, and paper, enabling us to support both manual and automated applications across a wide variety of package weights, surface types, and environmental conditions.
Alongside packaging, Atlas Tapes also offers masking tapes for professional and industrial use, developed to deliver consistent performance and clean application in demanding operational environments.
How We Work: Integrated by Design
Atlas Tapes operates as a fully vertically integrated manufacturer. From paper impregnation and film coating to slitting and converting, every critical step of the production process is managed in-house.
Our manufacturing facilities in Atalanti, Greece, cover more than 55,000 m² of covered production area and are equipped with advanced coating lines, impregnation lines, and fully automated slitting systems. This level of integration allows us to ensure consistent quality, flexibility, and reliability at scale, while responding efficiently to market needs.
Innovation, Quality, Sustainability
Innovation at Atlas Tapes is driven by real application requirements and long-term partnerships. Our R&D teams work closely with customers and suppliers to develop adhesive solutions that balance performance, process efficiency, and sustainability.
Sustainability is embedded in our operations. Atlas Tapes adopts four incinerator burners fuelled by agricultural biomass, producing 32 million calories per hour of clean, sustainable energy to support manufacturing processes. In addition, solar panels were installed in 2025, further strengthening our commitment to reducing environmental impact and increasing the use of renewable energy.
Atlas Tapes operates in compliance with internationally recognised standards and certifications, including ISO, FSC®, and INGEDE, reflecting our commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, and responsible paper-based solutions.
